Correct Bridle Setup
Connect each end of the strap to a separate, manufacturer-approved recovery point using correctly rated shackles or connectors. Attach the recovery rope or snatch strap to the centre of the bridle with suitable rated recovery equipment.
This setup helps equalise the pulling force and reduces the risk of overloading a single recovery point.
Important Safety Instructions
- Use only manufacturer-approved, chassis-mounted recovery points.
- Never connect recovery equipment to a tow ball or transport tie-down point.
- Ensure the strap, shackles, connectors and recovery points are correctly rated.
- Inspect the strap carefully before every use.
- Do not use it if it is cut, torn, frayed, burned, melted or badly abraded.
- Never tie knots in the strap.
- Do not use the strap for lifting.
- Keep passengers and bystanders well outside the recovery area.
- Use a recovery damper or heavy recovery blanket during recovery operations.
- Use only certified and correctly rated recovery equipment.
Care and Maintenance
Remove sand, dirt and debris after every use. Rinse the strap with clean, fresh water when necessary and allow it to air-dry completely away from direct sunlight.
Store the strap inside a recovery bag or suitable container to protect it from moisture, dirt, sunlight and unnecessary damage.
