Wild Dog 4x4 Soft Shackle Extreme
The Wild Dog 4x4 Soft Shackle Extreme is a lightweight, flexible alternative to a traditional steel shackle. Its one-piece construction has no loose pins, while its flexibility allows it to connect easily to suitable recovery points in confined or awkward positions.
Because it floats, the soft shackle is also easier to locate if dropped in water, mud or sand.

How to Use
- Loosen the shackle and slip the loop over the knot to open it.
- Thread the shackle through the eye of the kinetic rope or recovery strap.
- Pass it through a suitable rated recovery point.
- Place the loop securely back over the knot.
- Pull the loop tight and ensure that it is seated correctly.
- Perform the recovery according to the equipment and vehicle manufacturers’ instructions.
Important Safety Information
Always consult your vehicle’s owner’s manual to identify the correct recovery points.
Do not attach the soft shackle to:
- A bumper
- A tow ball
- An unrated attachment point
- Any sharp-edged recovery point that may cut or damage the fibres
Inspect the soft shackle before every use. Do not use it if you notice cuts, excessive abrasion, fraying or any other visible damage.
Care and Maintenance
Rinse the soft shackle with clean water after use and allow it to air-dry completely before storage. Although synthetic fibres offer exceptional strength, they remain vulnerable to wear, cutting and sharp edges.
Store the shackle in a clean, dry recovery bag away from direct sunlight and chemicals.
