Direction-Plus Ryco Pre-Filter Kit – Toyota Hilux N80 & Fortuner
Protect your diesel engine against water and particle contamination with the Direction-Plus™ Ryco Pre-Filter Kit – RC628DPK.
Designed, engineered and assembled in Australia, this kit is developed for Toyota Hilux N80 and Fortuner models. It provides additional fuel-system protection and helps reduce the risk of contamination-related damage and costly injector failure.
Diesel may contain water and other impurities, making effective filtration particularly important when towing, travelling off-road or refuelling in remote areas where fuel quality may be uncertain.

- Not compatible with the factory dual-battery tray fitted after late 2024

Protect Your Engine
Fuel contamination does not only occur while travelling through remote areas. Water and particles can enter diesel during storage, transportation and refuelling.
The Direction-Plus™ Ryco Pre-Filter Kit is designed for modern high-pressure diesel fuel systems equipped with an in-tank lift pump. Its 10-micron filter media removes up to 99% of water and 98% of particles from diesel fuel while maintaining efficient fuel flow.
This provides additional protection for the vehicle’s original fuel filter, injectors and other critical fuel-system components.
How It Works
The Direction-Plus™ Ryco Pre-Filter is installed between the fuel tank and the original equipment manufacturer’s fuel filter.
It removes water and particle contamination before the diesel reaches the original filter. This allows the vehicle’s original fuel filter to perform the final, finer stage of filtration while helping maximise the protection of the complete diesel fuel system.

Optional Water-Sensor Accessories
When paired with compatible S102XK or S101X water-sensor accessories, the system can provide a visual or audible warning when water is detected in the fuel.
This allows the driver to monitor the pre-filter remotely without needing to inspect the water bowl manually in a restricted engine compartment.
