The Safequip Lith-Ex 2-Litre Fire Extinguisher is a specialised, water-based fire-safety solution designed for lithium-ion battery fires.
It uses Aqueous Vermiculite Dispersion technology, commonly known as AVD. The agent cools the affected battery cells while forming a thermal-resistant protective film over the battery. This helps isolate the fire, limit the spread of thermal runaway and reduce the risk of re-ignition.
The increased 2-litre capacity provides a longer discharge than the smaller 1-litre model while remaining compact and easy to handle. It is suitable for professional offices, workshops, laboratories, industrial environments and locations where lithium-ion batteries are charged or stored.

Placement and Maintenance
Position the extinguisher in a visible, accessible and clearly marked location near areas where lithium-ion batteries are charged or stored. Inspect the pressure indicator regularly and arrange the required servicing through a qualified fire-equipment technician.
After any discharge, the extinguisher must be professionally inspected, recharged or replaced.
